Research & Development 

Mu-Po Corporation was founded in 1965 and has engaged in soft-shelled turtles’ breeding since 1948. We have been contributing increasing capital and time to the improvement of the farms, feeding stuffs, and the cultivating of dominant breed. 

In 80’s, our “ Han Palace Suppon” won the highest honor in Japan’s aquaculture, tennoshou (天皇賞),(His Majesty the Emperor Award ) and consequently got the support of the Japan Government to institute large-scale indoor farms in Okinawa. We also provided overall technology transfer and labor to improve their manufacturing, and sold these products in Japan Market, getting a distinguished result. Our early-stage research got myriad concerns and interests from all circles and laid the foundation of our following biotech product development of soft-shelled turtles. 

At the beginning of our operation, in addition to specializing in soft-shelled turtles’ breeding, we were vigorously engaged in the manufacturing of “Han Palace Soft-Shelled Turtle Egg ”, that is the origin of our Han Palace Series products. The manufacturing of soft-shelled turtle eggs is different from that of common eggs of hens or ducks. The ingredients of soft-shelled turtle eggs are unique and perishable and therefore it took us quite a long time to succeed in developing our Han Palace Turtle Egg by applying several ancient Chinese herb recipes after numerous experiments. The manufacturing procedure is time-consuming and complicated, and hence it is not easy to duplicate by average factories. Its quality and ingredients are different from those of unknown origin. Besides, customers are likely to get affected by poison after falsely consuming similar products from the street stalls or unworthy suppliers.      

Besides Soft-shelled Turtle Egg, we also devoted ourselves to the research of soft-shelled turtle powder. We are also the first company in Taiwan that manufactures soft-shelled turtle powder product. We now apply the freeze-pulverizing technology so as to reserve the complete nutrient and grind the product to 120 Mesh compared with the 60-80 Mesh of the general products manufactured by adopting common processing technology. Its absorbency to the body and the ingredients of our products are different from those of other companies. Besides, the production cost is much higher. In the meanwhile, by cooperating with Polo Life in Japan, we succeeded in pulverizing soft-shelled turtle eggs in 1993. 

We keep developing our Han Palace Series including Han Palace Soft-shelled Turtle Gall Powder, Han Palace Soft-shelled Turtle Oil, Han Palace Soft-shelled Turtle Tins, Han Palace Soft-shelled Turtle Essence, latest herb powder products, etc.  

We firmly believe that our profession and efforts can make our products fit the needs of diverse consumers of different background conditions from all circles. That is our goal and prospect.
